The Bel Short Course (formerly Th Par 3 at Woodhaven) has been in the area since the early 1980’s.  The course was built by Dick Herbert from a Willie B. Lewis design around 1983. Lewis also designed Smithfields Country Club, Pickens Country Club, Southern Oaks and Bald Mountain among his works in the local area.

The new owners from Boscobel Golf Club, Jon Guenthner and Coby Gambrell, look to build on the success of previous owners, Clint & Lorri Wright and Scott Womble. The overall plan for The Bel Short Course is to change it to a complete par 3 with additional tee boxes and updating lighting for evening play.

The ownership and golf staff  invites you learn more and enjoy a quick round of golf with your friends and family.  Whatever the occasion, the golf course is fun for everyone from the beginner to the advanced players that might need to keep their game in shape. The Bel Short Course is great value for your golf recreation.

We are excited to announce the addition of Jeff Evatt to the Boscobel team. Jeff has been a part of our extended family for many years, and we are grateful to have him back with us. His deep connection to our community and passion for what we do make him an invaluable addition. In his new role, Jeff will assist with golf operations at Boscobel Golf Club and take the lead management position at The Bel Short Course. Will Landry, our Boscobel Superintendent, will be the Director of Agronomy, overseeing a strategic plan for upgrading and improving course conditions at The Bel Short Course.
